Horror Genre

Horror Genre  Are women’s representations in horror films to satisfy the male audience through the gaze?  Films Item 1:  Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 I have chosen this film because women are represented as vulnerable and weak in this film, also it offers a range of shots and camera angles that stresses the horror genre. Also women are represented as the victim, which is something i can talk about which relates to my question. I have used this film because i want to compare it to the 1984 version, and compare how women are represented differently in the different years and how its evolved over time.
